Blueberries Tri Girls
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009On Saturday 26th September the ‘Blueberries Tri Girls’ participated in a triathlon in Sydney. It was an extremely well run day with only woman competing and the money raised went to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
“The atmosphere was totally encouraging with all levels of fitness represented!” says Joyce.
There are three different levels at the triathlon, so it is an ideal event for women who’ve never competed in a triathlon before, as well as plenty of women who compete regularly.
All standards of dress were acceptable, ranging from the professional triathlon suit to weird and wonderful levels of fancy dress and decorated bicycles! Pink angel wings included!
Louise Savage competed in Long Course which helped made the day special as she is an inspiration to all.
“After we’d finished we could all say that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves” says Joyce.
