Stylish Shopping Bag

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Ok so everyone has seen the environmental bags at the shops that you buy to save you from using the plastic ones? Well yes I have seen some rather funky looking patterns on them from time to time, but the majority of them are the one colour- fairly boring really.

So we thought we would spruce one up to show you how glamorous you could look while walking up and down the aisle of your favourite grocery store

bag

Now I am pretty sure that your milk and bread would stand out a treat with this baby! Carmel whipped this up in no time, and we are sure that you could as well.

A bag like this would only need 40cm of your favourite fabric to glam up an otherwise plain old shopping bag.

How cute is this fabric by the way? Yes ok people I AM partial to the odd cupcake (or 20) LOL. This range is called “Tea in Wonderland” and its $22 per metre and we have some in stock now.

* Dont forget our Sale is on this week too- that means ALL our patchwork fabric from the bolt and batting is 25% off

A Special Visit

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Well we were so lucky today.. apart from our usual beautiful customers that came in to visit we had a lovely group of ladies + 1 bus driver 🙂 come in to spend time in our gorgeous store!

weekend

48 ladies from Yass and Wagga Wagga came in for a visit- it was so much fun meeting them all. They spent just over an hour with us.. browsed around our shop.. grabbed lots of bargains..and enjoyed the yummy tea and cakes that we had for them.

It was a little bit hectic at times.. though we had a great system going with Sandra and I on the cutting tables and Rach and Tyson were at the front counter- all the ladies commented to us that they loved our store and our service was wonderful too!

All in all a great afternoon was had, and we look forward to seeing all those lovely ladies again soon!

Meanwhile , Jackie and Carmel are at the Dubbo Show this weekend too- so stay tuned for some pictures from them too!

Now before I go- we love to hear from you guys and would be so happy if you leave us some comments to let us know what you think of all the things we have going on around Blueberries at the moment. Just click on the comments link at the end of each post and you can leave your comments there.

Well enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Some Bunny Loves you!

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

Well we have been busily preparing for the arrival of a certain “bunny” in our house this past few days- I love this time of year!

I popped into the shop this morning and was instantly drawn to some yummy new fabric *grin*.

Needless to say, my mind went into over drive of all the scrummy new projects that I could make- and I just *had* to have some new fabric to take home with me! LOL

I then spent the rest of the afternoon whipping this little number up- I am really happy with it!

How totally cute is this fabric?? It is from “The Riley” collection.. and there is lots of bright and fun colours in this entire range.

Now I know that this bag is going to be perfect for Easter Eggs tomorrow.. but it will also be a great bag for any special little  person to put some treasured items into 🙂
